Candidates must be Indian nationals and domicile of Kerala. Candidates must have passed the prescribed Graduate or Diploma qualification during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026. Graduate Apprentices require a Degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a recognized statutory university, institution or equivalent recognized professional body. Technician Apprentices require a Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a recognized State Council, Board, University or recognized institution. Diploma in Commercial Practice is required for the Commercial Practice discipline. Candidates holding equivalent qualifications must submit an Equivalency Certificate. Candidates must be above 18 years of age as on 01 September 2026.

No written examination or competitive examination is prescribed in the notification. Shortlisting will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification. In case of equal marks, seniority in the year of passing will determine relative merit, and where the passing year is also identical, the older candidate based on date of birth will receive precedence.

Cochin Shipyard Limited has notified 139 apprenticeship training seats consisting of 61 Graduate Apprentice seats and 78 Technician (Diploma) Apprentice seats. Graduate Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000, while Technician (Diploma) Apprentices will receive ₹13,000 per month. The apprenticeship training duration is one year.

Only candidates domiciled in Kerala will be considered. Shortlisting will be carried out based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed basic qualification. In case of a tie, seniority in passing year will be considered, followed by age. Shortlisted candidates will undergo certificate verification and those successfully completing verification will be provisionally considered for selection against the notified training seats in order of merit and reservation, subject to medical fitness.

Selected Graduate Apprentices will receive a stipend of ₹15,000 per month. Selected Technician (Diploma) Apprentices will receive a stipend of ₹13,000 per month. The apprenticeship training period is one year.

There is no application fee for the CSL Graduate/Technician Apprentice recruitment 2026.

No travel expenses or boarding/lodging will be provided by CSL.

Candidates shortlisted for certificate verification must produce original certificates and self-attested copies as proof of age, educational qualification, percentage of marks, caste, disability if applicable and other relevant eligibility requirements. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must submit an Equivalency Certificate issued by the competent authority.
