The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released notification for the recruitment of 669 Constable posts under (Armed/IRP and SDRF) and (Telecommunication and Photographer) in J&K Police, Home Department. | Written Examination | Objective type multiple-choice examination conducted in English only. Each wrong answer will carry negative marking of 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question. NCC certificate holders will be awarded bonus marks: 5% for NCC ‘C’, 3% for NCC ‘B’, and 2% for NCC ‘A’ certificate holders. |
| Shortlisting for Physical Standard Test (PST) | Candidates will be shortlisted for PST in the ratio of six times the total vacancies category-wise based on written examination merit. |
| Physical Standard Test (PST) | Male: Height 5’6”, Chest 32” (unexpanded) & 33.5” (expanded). Female: Height 5’2”. Height relaxation of 2 inches applies for candidates belonging to Gorkha Community and Bot Tribe as per notified rules. |
| Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Male | 1600 meters run in 6.5 minutes and 20 push-ups (one full cycle counted as one). |
| Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Female | 1000 meters run in 6.5 minutes and Shot Put (4 kg) – 14.5 feet in three attempts. |
| Final Selection | Final merit will be prepared based on performance in written examination, PST, PET, applicable reservation rules and verification of documents. |
