Candidates must possess a Master's Degree or equivalent examination from a recognized university with at least 55% marks for General/EWS category and 50% marks for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD and Third Gender candidates. Candidates appearing in the final year of their postgraduate degree are also eligible to apply provisionally. Applicants should appear in the SET subject corresponding to their post-graduation discipline. There is no upper age limit for Rajasthan SET 2026.

Rajasthan SET 2026 will consist of two objective-type papers conducted in a single session. Paper-I will contain 50 questions carrying 100 marks and assess teaching aptitude, reasoning, comprehension and research aptitude. The application fee for Rajasthan SET 2026 is Rs. 1500 for General, SBC and OBC Creamy Layer candidates of Rajasthan and other states. EWS, OBC Non-Creamy Layer and SBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates of Rajasthan are required to pay Rs. 1200. SC, ST and PwD candidates of Rajasthan need to pay Rs. 750.
