Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, responsible for managing Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs)—a network of central government schools across India and abroad. | Stage 1 – Written Examination (Tier-I) | Objective-type written exam of 40 marks. Minimum qualifying marks: 35% for General/OBC/EWS and 33% for SC/ST/PwBD. Exam includes subject knowledge, reasoning, educational aptitude, and professional competencies. |
| Stage 2 – Interview / Screening (Tier-II) | Candidates who qualify the written exam are shortlisted for an Interview/Screening of 60 marks (post-wise). Final merit for most posts is based on Written + Interview marks. |
| Stage 3 – Eligibility & Service Verification | Verification of required educational qualifications, service experience, APARs, and other departmental records by the Controlling Officer. |
| Qualifying Criteria | Minimum 35% marks for General/OBC/EWS and 33% for SC/ST/PwBD in both Written Exam and Interview (where applicable). Candidates must meet all departmental eligibility norms. |
| Final Selection | Final merit list is prepared based on combined marks of Tier-I Written Exam and Tier-II Interview (if applicable), followed by document/service verification. |
