GSSSB Additional Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) Recruitment 2026

Candidates must possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Automobile Engineering obtained from a recognized Technical Examination Board, University or institution recognized by the Central or State Government. Applicants must also have basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed under Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment Rules, 1967, along with adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both languages. Candidates should satisfy all educational qualification requirements on the prescribed closing date of application.

A total of 110 vacancies have been announced for the post of Additional Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), Class-3 under the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board. The vacancies are distributed across various reservation categories including General, EWS, SEBC, SC and ST categories as per Gujarat Government reservation policy.

Selection for Additional Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) Recruitment 2026 will be conducted through a competitive examination followed by document verification. Candidates securing the required merit position and fulfilling all eligibility conditions will be considered for final appointment under Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board.

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly salary of Rs. 49,600 during the initial five years of service. Upon satisfactory completion of the probation period, candidates will be placed in the regular pay scale of Rs. 39,900 to Rs. 1,26,600 under Level-7 of the Seventh Pay Commission along with admissible allowances as per Gujarat Government rules.

Applicants should keep their Diploma certificate, mark sheets, school leaving certificate or birth proof, photo identity proof, category certificate, EWS certificate, Non-Creamy Layer certificate, disability certificate, ex-servicemen certificate (if applicable), recent passport-size photograph and other supporting documents ready while filling the online application form. Original certificates will be required during document verification.
