DRDO SAG Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026

Only Indian nationals who have completed the relevant course and have been awarded the degree or provisional certificate are eligible to appear. The upper age limit is 28 years as on the date of walk-in interview, with relaxation for SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates as per Government of India rules. Discipline-wise eligibility includes postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Physics with first division and NET qualification, or B.E. / B.Tech with first division and valid NET / GATE score, or M.E. / M.Tech in the relevant field with first division at both graduate and postgraduate levels.

No written examination pattern is prescribed in the notice. Selection will be through walk-in interview for Junior Research Fellow positions.

Scientific Analysis Group under DRDO has announced 11 Junior Research Fellow positions. Ten positions are to be filled at SAG and one position is for sister lab(s) of DRDO. The subject-wise fellowships are Mathematics 3, Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Science 4, Electronics Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering 3, and Physics 1.

Selection will be through walk-in interview on 05 August 2026. Candidates must report between 0900 hrs and 1100 hrs at Main Gate reception, Metcalfe House, Delhi-110054. Candidates must bring the filled application form, complete biodata, original certificates and attested or self-attested copies of required documents.

Selected Junior Research Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 37,000 plus HRA, medical facilities and other emoluments as per prevailing rules. The fellowship tenure will initially be for two years and may be extended up to a maximum of five years based on performance and requirement.

The notification does not mention any application fee. Candidates must attend the walk-in interview with the duly filled application form downloaded from the DRDO website and required documents.

Candidates should report for the walk-in interview between 0900 hrs and 1100 hrs on 05 August 2026 at Main Gate reception, Metcalfe House, Delhi-110054. Prior intimation may be sent by email to saghr.sag@gov.in, but the filled application form must be submitted at the time of interview. No TA or DA will be paid. Pen drive, laptop, electronic device and camera are not allowed at the interview.
