Candidates possessing B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with registration as Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council are eligible to apply. Candidates holding a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) with valid Nursing Council registration and two years' experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital are also eligible. The age limit is 18 to 30 years with applicable age relaxation.

The selection process consists of two Computer Based Tests. Stage-I (NORCET Preliminary) is a qualifying examination comprising 100 MCQs for 100 marks, while Stage-II (NORCET Main) consists of 160 MCQs for 160 marks. Both stages carry one-third negative marking. Final merit is prepared on the basis of Stage-II performance.

AIIMS New Delhi has released NORCET-11 for recruitment of Nursing Officers in AIIMS New Delhi and various participating AIIMS, ESIC and Central Government medical institutions across India. A total of 2,218 vacancies have been notified across participating institutes, with institute-wise vacancy distribution available in the official notification.

Candidates must qualify the NORCET Preliminary Examination to appear for the NORCET Main Examination. Final selection is based on Stage-II marks, candidate preferences, eligibility, document verification, medical fitness and seat allocation by the participating AIIMS/Institutes.

Selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Level-7 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix with a pay scale of Rs.44,900-1,42,400 (Pre-Revised Pay Band-2 Rs.9,300-34,800 with Grade Pay Rs.4,600). In addition to basic pay, candidates will receive DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, NPS benefits and other admissible Central Government allowances.

General and OBC candidates are required to pay Rs.3,000 while SC, ST and EWS candidates must pay Rs.2,400. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from payment of the application fee. SC/ST candidates appearing in the examination will receive a refund of the examination fee after verification of their category certificate.
