Rail India Technical and Economic Service Limited (RITES Ltd.) is a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise (PSU) under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. | Recognized Qualification | The candidate should possess Degree/Diploma recognized by AICTE/BTE (as applicable) from a University incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature or institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared as Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India), treated as equivalent to Degree by Government of India and recognized by AICTE, shall also be accepted. |
| Experience | Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field of Engineering. |
| Written Examination | Total 125 questions. |
| Quantitative Aptitude | Around 35 questions covering number system, arithmetic, geometry, algebra, trigonometry, mensuration, average, profit & loss, ratio & proportion, time & work, time & distance, probability, SI & CI, permutation & combination, series, quadratic equations, etc. |
| Data Interpretation | Around 35 questions based on tables, charts, graphs, series and other data formats. |
| Logical Reasoning | Around 35 questions including puzzles, seating arrangement, inequalities, Venn diagrams, blood relations, directions, order & ranking, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, spatial ability, pattern recognition, etc. |
| Basic Awareness / General Knowledge | Around 20 questions covering current affairs, national & international events, sports, awards, static GK such as history, geography, polity, economy, culture and general science. |

| Phase I – Written Test | Candidates must appear for the written test as per the schedule and venue mentioned in their admit card. The written test carries 100% weightage. |
| Qualifying Marks | Minimum 50% marks required for UR/EWS and 45% for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD against reserved posts to be considered for further selection. |
| Phase II – Document Scrutiny | Documents uploaded during online application will be scrutinized by RITES Ltd. Candidates are responsible for uploading all necessary supporting documents. |
| Final Selection | Provisionally shortlisted candidates will be placed in a panel. Deployment will be based on project/company requirements. Empanelment does not guarantee job selection. Medical examination as per RITES rules is mandatory. Candidates can appear for the process in Hindi or English. |
